Red Sox were caught cheating last year using electronic means (stadium video and Apple watches) to pick up the opponent's catcher signal to the pitcher and convey it to the Red Sox batter.  So they're already known cheats, like the football team.

I didn't read the article.  What did they do?  Deflate the baseballs?

Houston was accused of pretty much the same thing by the Indians and Sox.

Well no, they were caught doing that.  Accused of pitcher using sticky on his hands.

Stealing signs and spit-balls has been around as long as the game itself. In MLB if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying.

Yeah, Dodgers don't seem to be making a big deal out of it.

Since the Dodgers lost the world series they may be glad they didn't get caught cheating.  Since they lost that would be extra embarrassing...

EXACTLY. Gaylord Perry, a great pitcher was known to throw a spitter (actually grease ball) but was caught only one time. I still remember watching the umps nearly stripping him naked on the mound to find a substance. He even wrote a book titled, "Me and the Spitter." Pitched over 20 years. A great personality for baseball.

Quote
Perry reportedly approached the makers of Vaseline about endorsing the product and was allegedly rebuffed with a one-line postcard reading, "We soothe babies' backsides, not baseballs." Former manager Gene Mauch famously quipped "He should be in the Hall of Fame with a tube of K-Y Jelly attached to his plaque."[5]

Gene Tenace, who caught Gaylord Perry when they played for the San Diego Padres, said: "I can remember a couple of occasions when I couldn't throw the ball back to him because it was so greasy that it slipped out of my hands. I just walked out to the mound and flipped the ball back to him."[6]

They darn sure shouldn't admit if they knew what pitches were coming, because they couldn't hit a lick.

Here's a simple mensa quiz.  Read the thread title.
