For sports trivia buffs, the last player from an in-state college to be drafted in the first round was Alabama's Gerald Wallace back in 2001.
This problem was addressed by the U of A hiring of CAG. There is plenty of in-state talent, but the good ones have been snatched up by our competition. This trend is already being reversed.
