The liberal in the story talks about her French studies instead of watching football. In other words, she was trying to impress us with how upscale and intellectual she was by studying French. Bill Gates hates football, because he's a nerd and a liberal and probably he was picked on by a football player in middle school. Gates is about as tough and manly as a poodle. Remember how openly anti-military many liberals used to be? Same principle, but due to the bravery of our fighting men, they have had to shut up being so open about their contempt for the military.
