I agree, but they are only going by what has actually played out. ND will get exposed sooner or later, so them being at #3 doesn't bother me a bit.

I'm okay with the rankings too.
Just pisses me that people have no memory when making the rankings.  There aren't 3 teams in the country that could have beaten FSU when we did.  And ND ain't one of them!!

Looks like we were all wrong.

This committee seems enamored with Notre Dame.   

I got the top 7 but couldn't predict the order.  According to the committee, the biggest debates were between 1 and 2, and then what order to place 3-7.

It looks like they looked at strength of schedule and wins/losses.  So technically ND losing to their #1 team is the least bad loss among the one loss teams.  But I'm still really surprised to see ND at 3.

... and Clemson at #4.  They acknowledged the injury to Clemson's QB as the reason.

BTW, "College FB" on Sirius radio today had a caller beeching about Alabama being ranked in the top 4.  His argument was "Bama hasn't played a top-20 team at all, and should be ranked with Wisconsin".

Went on to say, "They love Alabama.  Probably put them in the playoffs after they lose to Georgia."

Wish I could reach this guy for a $1k bet!!
