Barack Obama, on the trail* today:

We’re going to have an America where everybody has opportunity.  And that’s going to take some time, because our economic problems weren’t caused overnight and they won’t be solved overnight.

It’s going to take time to rebuild an economy where hard work is valued and responsibility is rewarded.  It’s going to take time to rebuild an economy that restores security for the middle class and renews opportunity for folks trying to reach the middle class. 

It’s going to take time to rebuild an economy that’s not based on outsourcing or tax loopholes or risky financial deals, but one that is built to last, where we invest in education and small business and manufacturing and making things that the rest of the world is willing to buy.

Like those crappy electric cars nobody wants? These idiots have no idea how to run an economy. They have never had to make a payroll. Never ran anything.

They were amazed and dumbfounded when a few at a race booed Michelle and Jill. Well those people are certainly not interested in silly electric cars that you have to plug in every 40-50 miles. They probably aren't happy about there husbands saying they are lazy.  They aren't real happy with her dragging 35 friends to Europe anytime she wants on their tax dollars. They find it hard to understand why she needed her own 747 to go to Martha's Vinyard because BHO was running 45 minutes late. They remember she was only proud of our country when she was getting something out of it.  They may be tired of hearing all about her White House garden when they know she has no idea how to grow even a cucumber.  They are exactly the demographic that her husband referred to as 'clinging to their guns, religion,...'.  They have had it up to their ears with these people and a few, by no means the majority, released a little pressure like a pop-off valve.

I was an usher at Talladega for around ten years from the mid 80’s to mid 90’s. Not a more patriotic fan base in the country than NASCAR fans.

Yeah, they drink and party at races on Sunday, but they get up and go to work on Monday. Very conservative, don't want no one telling them what to drive, eat, drink, smoke or how to act.
