Good morning: Thursday, eh?

Rain coming tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, etc.  Ugh.  But today should be warmer, windy, and nice.  Hope to get my car back from the shop today.  Did I mention I erased a pronghorn in Wyoming?
 Embarrassed

I bet your car said ouch!

Better watch your weather, Chech. Looks like severe stuff heading your way.

Yeah I see that severe weather coming Saturday.  Ugh.
BTW, when I told a buddy out west I'd hit a pronghorn, he asked:
"How?  They're the fastest mammal in North America."
Me:  "I found the slowest one.  It's a Darwin thing."

Laughing And in my lifetime, I've encountered the three slowest deer in the south.

Three?  Wow.  BTW, I was talking with RE on the bluetooth when I hit it.  Not sure what I said, but pretty sure it wasn't church language.

He actually should have prayed for "speed, speed, speed..."

I'm sure the theory of Cliff Clavin regarding the speed with which a herd of buffalo travels is also relevant to the pronghorn... You sped up the average speed of the pronghorn herd...

Speaking of the slowest member of a herd, I think I am filling that position in my office today.  Mrs. Nalt woke me up around 2 this morning saying she needed my help.  Her mother had fallen so we had to go get her up out of the floor.  Fortunately she wasn't injured and Mrs. Nalt was able to help her get into the bathroom to do her business then we got her back into her recliner.  As I was leaving for work she went back down to her mom's to check on her.  I stopped by and Mrs. Nalt said that her mom is ok.  It is becoming obvious though that she is getting very near the end of life.  I just hope she lives through the holidays.

Well guys and ladies you know I actually pray for you all every day. It is my job to do so or I might get a spanking from above. I always pray for ours and others injuries. My prayer today is that everybody be safe and healed from all sickness. RTR!

Well your buddy was wrong.  Jameson Williams is the fastest mammal in North America.

Laughing
I heard Jameson was running 22mph on the longest pass TD.  The pronghorns can run 60mph.  But, of course, the pronghorns have hooves, so their football-catching ability is surpassed by Jameson.  And his hair is longer.  And his NFL stock is higher.  And he's intelligent enough to not cross the road in front of Chech.

Good (late) morning, gents. Another chilly one in central Maryland. One and a half days of work left for the week, they me and the missus are taking the chilluns to the Natural History Museum in DC and meet some friends Saturday. I enjoy seeing the kids have fun, but driving in DC is about as much fun as listening to Gary Danielson.

Has it gotten too dangerous to park outside the city and ride the Metro in?  When I had friends around Richmond, that's what we would do if we went into DC.

It's slower right now due to a derailment not too far back. I think they are making a number of updates, so trains are not running as often. Mrs. cbbama also detests Metro, so she would rather drive in.

I worked for several years right across Constitution Ave. from the Natural History Museum.  Spent many lunch hours browsing the exhibits.

Cool.  Me too.  I worked in the NHM for my doctoral work, and would wander around the exhibits at night to stay awake.  They'd let us work through the night, and only a couple of guards were there.  BTW, the Hope Diamond was locked in its safe at night.
