Title: Auburn Recruitng 2009 & 2010
Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 23, 2012, 01:30:54 PM
This really tells you what a phony "recruiting" job Chiznik and his coaches have been doing. This is why their teams sucks. Good, in-depth reporting by Jon Solomon. I love Dye's remarks.

From Chizik's first two classes, 29 of the 60 signees (48 percent) are not on Auburn's roster today. Nineteen of Saban's 54 signees (35 percent) from 2009 and 2010 are no longer with Alabama.

Based on Rivals.com rankings, Auburn signed 25 four- or five-star players those years to Alabama's 34. At Alabama, 12 percent of its 4- and 5-star signees those years never played and so far three players from those classes became NFL first-round draft picks, with more to come.

The problem for Auburn: 24 percent of those highly-recruited players never played and another 44 percent could be considered not having had the impact expected based on their rankings
