Title: Questions About Najee Harris
Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 25, 2018, 03:20:21 PM
My wife & adult son were at the game and said they saw Najee sitting on the bench alone and not happy. Does anyone know if he's unhappy or something else? Rumors of transferring last year.

 ???

He has been unhappy about his lack of playing time. He considered transferring last year before he had a big game in the Championship Game.

He didn't play much yesterday. I thought maybe because he got stopped on most every run. But he's had about as much playing time, other than that, as everybody else. He even had a couple of good games leading up to the IB.

This where the team first stuff comes in CNS talks about. These kids know they are going to play in the Pros why in the world does jumping from a team that plays in the NCG to a team that might go 5-7 what good is it? RTR!

I haven't been impressed by his play this year.  Had no idea that he was unhappy last year or this year either.  If he thinks he can do better elsewhere then have at it.  We have more horses in the barn...

Here is the story about N. Harris from this summer.  https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/five-star-alabama-rb-najee-harris-considered-transferring-out-after-2017-season/

NH would be dumb to transfer now.  He has waited his turn and could be the starter next year.  D. Harris is graduating, and Josh Jacobs may or may not come back for his senior season.  JJ also is a different kind of player, a guy who does it all, including blocking for another RB.

He averages 6.8ypc (more than D. Harris and Jacobs).  Not saying he's a better runner, but I'm not sure how you can not be pleased with a guy averaging 7 yards a carry.

 :dunno:

Damien’s gone after this year, Jacobs could be too. Najee will be the man next year. I don’t know if he’s unhappy or not, but it’s his turn next.

He needs to learn to pass block.  That's what keeps him 3rd in line.

Najee also isn't a team player like Jacobs.  Najee pouts on the bench, talks to the press about transferring.  Jacobs plays special teams, blocks for other RBs, does whatever it takes to get on the field.
