Not sure why we are even playing this game.  I've heard all day long how UGA is the better team.  We must have just gotten lucky the first time.  We beat them by 17 the first time and yet they are a 2 1/2 point favorite in the rematch a month later.  They should have just saved all the fans the trouble of having to travel to Indiana and just shipped the big golden lipstick trophy to Athens.

So far, a good defensive game. 9-6 Bama at the half. Both Ds are tough in the red zone. We may have an uphill battle with both Metchie AND Williams out. We've got a lot of freshmen playing in key positions, Koolaid, Agiye Hall, Jacory Brooks, and Jackson, even though he is a Juco transfer. It's going to take a great effort. If Georgia ever figures out we can't cover their big, fast TEs, they may give us a REALLY tough time.

We do have Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young though.  8)

But we need to give him better protection in the 2nd half if we're going to pull this out.

The youth killed us. When we lost Williams, it was on the freshmen to perform. They dropped passes and didn't execute the way Natty teams should. It showed up on D too, big time.

It caused Bryce to force things that ended up sealing our doom. Congrats to Georgia and Kirby.

Gotta tip your cap to Kirby and the Dawgs.  They got it done.

For what was supposed to be a rebuilding year for Bama, I'm proud of what our team accomplished. Getting to the NC game is a big deal!  Hope our young guys learn from this game and work hard to be the great players they can be.

Completely agree.  We'll get some great players back from injury and our youngsters will have another year of experience.  ROLL TIDE!!!!

The only problem is when we start out #1 we don't win national titles. They already have us as the #1 in the way to early poll. RTR!

Preacher, we were a very young team as it was, and the injuries just made it worse. We still came very close to winning it all. Even if we are ranked #!, I still like our chances.  :lol2:

I hope Jameson decides to come back.  Metchie has a ring, but Jameson does not.  He was on the receiving end of that Ohio State beat down last year.  So he has lost the national championship 2 years in a row.  I want him to have a ring before he leaves Title Town.

Hadn't thought about that. As hard as he worked and as good as he was, he deserves one.

If Jameson wants to go to the NFL there is obviously nothing wrong with that.  He was trying to get back in the game last night but the doctors wouldn't let him.  Could be because he wants a ring really bad, or it could be because he knew it was now or never.  Just last year there were a bunch of guys that came back for another year because they felt like they had some unfinished business.  I would not be surprised if he makes that same decision.
