Title: xbox Kinect
Post by: Terrie1959 on February 18, 2012, 06:40:50 PM
Ok so Valentine's Day my DH and I decided to buy the Kinect.  Anyone here have one?  If so, what are some good FUN games. We have the Adventures game that came with the kinect and he bought some stupid game (sports 2). I say stupid because I wanted the original because it has games that "I" would like! :)
Anyway- we had a blast playing Adventures but I'd like some different ideas.

TIA :)

The kids got one last year for Christmas.  It doesn't work so well for my youngest son.  It has a hard time picking him up.  I am baffled that they can't "tune" the thing to pick up the little guys.  There is no technological reason why they couldn't make it work.

As for games, we have Adventures, Sports 1, Sports 2, Kinectimals, and Disneyland Adventures.  Sports 1 and Adventures are the ones that are played the most.  I like the Bowling game from Sports 1 pretty well.

We hardly ever play the kinect games though.  In fact, right now they are playing Up using the controllers.

Thanks Coach.  I think I'm still partial to the WII but I like the Kinect.
Maybe I'll just go buy my Sports 1 :)

One advantage of the Kinect is you don't have to worry about accidentally throwing that controller thing through an expensive big screen flat panel TV.  That happened to some people I know.  Now they play it on an old junky TV just in case.

I haven't actually hit the tv but I came close when were doing the sword fighting. for some reason the more i "fought" the closer i got to the tv! :) I try to always tighten that strap so i can't throw it.
