Three national championships have vaulted the Alabama women's athletics program to third place in the final Capital One Cup standings, the highest finish in school history.

Stanford and UCLA finished ahead of the Crimson Tide, which led Southeastern Conference schools. LSU finished fourth and Florida finished ninth.

Alabama is in fourth place in the men's standings, which will be announced after the baseball season ends with the College World Series.

Stanford and UCLA are strong in sports the SEC does not participate in. IMO if you finish first in the SEC you have accomplished your goals. We go head-to-head with those schools in the same sports. This was a great year for the Bama Women.

Roll Tide.

These other schools would trade every championship they have for our crystal!

You are correct.  If you just counted the sports where Alabama fields a team, then we are easily #1.
