I am glad all my friends and families is safe today. I do however, want to thank our weathermen and ladies for all they gave up to protect us from the storms on Christmas and the Eve. RTR!

Good morning.  Coffee

Not so good for folks around Dallas.  Tornadoes killed several people there overnight, and wildfires threaten homes in California.  The flooding is Alabama's story this morning, as it is in northern England.

Prayers to all who need them.   Pray

Meanwhile, Jamos continues his winning ways in the picks.  He was 5-1 yesterday, and is atop the list at an incredible 15-3.    I'm ready to concede!!

Morning all.  Might be some flooding here;  Tennessee River and Aldridge Creek.  My yard is a mess, places with water up to my ankles, but shouldn't be anything serious when the river rises, as my house is on the edge of a hill, and the water came from above, not below.

Jamos, Chech and ricky all went 5-1 yesterday.   Shocked   It's going to be hard to keep up with that pace; and at 15-3 Jamos has been a steady 5-1 throughout.  I can't concede yet, with the competition barely past halftime, but I'm eating a lot of dust.

Hopefully your home will be okay.  Floods are horrible, and insurance companies manage to avoid covering damage from them.

Morning All!! Coffee

I can't remember a Christmas with so much tornadic type weather across the country. My granddaughter lives in Wichita Falls, Tex and will be heading home today so I had been keeping an eye on the weather in their area. There had been a long range forecast of some cold weather possibly moving in today there with snow and ice in the forecast. This morning I see the sad report from Dallas and when I looked at the weather map it is nothing but blue on it to the west and northwest of Texas. The colder air must have started moving in and we all are too familiar with the mixing of cold and warm air.

LOL, can't figure out how the blind squirrel and acorn theory has been so successful with the football picks so far. I do know that luck can only take you so far and there are a lot of games to go so I'm trying to prepare myself for the bad side of losing my luck.  Sad

Have a good day everyone and do be careful if traveling is in your plans. Pray Cheesy

Pickems? What pickems?

J, you're tearing it up! Hope you bought some lottery tickets. I aspire to make it to .500 before it's all said and done. SEC, don't let me down!

Prayers to all the afflicted in Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, California and Northern England.  Pray

X, I hope you catch a mess, but save some for us down the road from you.

Chech, you're 12-6 with a long way to go. Don't give up just yet. You and CP aren't out of it by a long shot.

I couldn't agree with you more about the lottery tickets, I would rather be lucky than good anyday. Wink

Morning all!! Coffee

What a couple of days of turbulent rainy weather. We had a bad storm that went just below us last evening that ended up with some damage close to the Mercedes plant and then hit some homes in the west Birmingham area. Fortunately there were no serious injuries to anyone, mostly structural damage to some homes. After that one, we had another one that got pretty close to our home but it fizzled out. We were like most folks across the state though with lots of rain but we are all safe.

Chech, the only thing that Jamos is running away with is the most pounds gained during Thanksgiving and now Christmas. It far exceeds any football games. New Years Day will bring on a whole new meaning to my diet. Wink

We are going to take our great granddaughter to McDonalds this morning for breakfast so she can climb through all of their climbing toys. It should be very entertaining. Have a great day everyone and do be safe on the wet roads if you must travel today. Pray Cheesy

Glad y'all escaped the severe weather, J. The pic you sent me of your great granddaughter in her Bama cheerleading outfit was great!  Cheesy

Thanks 2, she sure spoiled me for sure. Cheesy

Morning, all.  Coffee

Navy plays today.  Finally another team I care about (Virginia Tech was 1st).  And then Minnesota, another Big 10 team.  Yuck  My SIL is here with us, and she'll be cheering for Minnesota.  She lives there now among the Norwegians and gophers.

That's it.  More storms across Mississippi today.  No way I'm going home if that keeps up.

At the pace J is going, Chech or I would need perfect picks just to catch up.
