It is hard to throw the ball 50 times when you are having to do it in batches of 3, then sitting down for 6 to 10 minutes while you watch TR pounding your Mickey Mouse defense.  Of course they probably would only play d for 3 plays before they gave up the TD, so he might have thrown it 50 times after all.

Actually, he threw the ball 58 times against Iowa State.  How'd that work out for him?

There's a HUGE difference between calling 50 pass plays and throwing it 50 times.  I imagine Weeden would have been sacked at least 10 of those 50 plays.  Well, he would have been sacked 5 of them, then the backup would have taken the rest.

I'm sure Okie St. think they are good in the passing game but before they blurt out, I think they should ask Jordan Jefferson what it is like to try and throw with 4 or 5 Tiders all over them. No way Ok. St. could stand up to the Alabama defense and our offense would have scored 50 on them. This is my belief but it is what it is. RTR!

Well, according to them they coulda/woulda/shoulda been playing LSU.   He's gonna throw it 50 times. We threw it 34 times.  What the hell does he think throwing it 16 more times is gonna do, loosen them up for the run?  We ran 69 plays and had the ball 10 minutes more than LSU.  There ain't no way in blue hades that Okie State is gonna control clock and stop LSU's run offense.  LSU only had 44 plays but against OSU they might have 44 in the first half.  If he's throwing it 50 times it's because he's trying to catch up.  They wouldn't beat LSU and sure as hell wouldn't beat us.
