Sounds like what we saw yesterday, when we drove I-81 from Virginia to I-40 and across Tennessee.  Semis were swerving in the wind, and I spent the entire day staying on their upwind side when passing, or speeding to stay ahead as they gained on me from behind.  It was ugly all day.  Fortunately, when the heavy rain hit, the wind gusts ended.
