Oregon State is having fun against Stanford.  OSU is 1-6, and they have an interim coach.  Threw a pass to an Offensive Tackle (who almost scored), and having fun.

South AL trailing GA St 21-6 early in 4th.

Unforced error: Beavers fumbled at their own 15 just before the half.   

But Beaver defense holds; field goal.

South AL threw a 78-yd TD with 2 min to go: trail 21-13.

I have been watching the Stanford games intermittently.  Last night, Herbie said something about Stanford  could make the playoffs; based on tonight that seems ludicrous.

Stanford has 2 FGs.  One, because the Oregon State punter shanked a 6-yard punt to the OSU 29 yd line.  The other because OSU RB fumbled in the OSU red zone.  Otherwise, Stanford has shown little ability to put together a drive.

Sure Stanford's Heisman candidate RB is missing, but the backup is just terrible.  We're spoiled.  Bama's 6th string RB is much better than Stanford's 2nd string RB (and I think our guy is being developed for a different position.)  I haven't seen this Love guy play, but the holes are there, the backup RB just can't seem to find them.  That, and OSU is selling out against the run.  Stanford's QB can't complete a simple pass.

Anyway, OSU hasn't beaten an FBS this year, but they are up 7-6 at the start of the second half.

Oregon St stopped Stanford and got the ball back. 

Got a first down, out to the 40 yd line.  2:30 left.

FUMBLE!  Stanford Football   

All OSU had to do was run out the clock and they fumble.

Under 2 minutes left.  Stanford inside the 20. 

Clock ticking down to 1 minute.

TD Stanford.  Now lead 15-14 with 20 secs left.


It appears Oregon St. choked the game away with that fumble.
