I have no idea what their roster looks like this year but I expect them to be our toughest opponent.  They seem to be on the same track we were on in 2009.  The difference of course is that we had to play UF that year, while they will have to face us.  2018 Alabama > 2009 UF, so it will be interesting to see how this season plays out.

They lost a lot of players from this past year's NC Runner-up team but have had Top 5 recruiting classes the last two years I believe.  They should make it to the SECCG undefeated as hopefully will.  That should make for another really good game against the short leg-humpers.  I think our team this year will also be better than the 09 Gators and the 18 Dawgs too...

I was thinking about some recent team comparisons while commuting yesterday.  I think 2016 Clemson and 2016 Alabama were probably better than both 2017 Alabama (w/Hurts) and 2017 Georgia.  Every national champion is certainly not equal, and sometimes the 2nd best team is better than the national champion from other years.  2011 LSU would have probably won the Natty almost any other year.  We just happened to have quite possibly the best defense in the history of college football that year.

HL I would agree but I think our best was when we Mark and Trent backing each other up. We an O-line and a Great defense. RTR!

Georgia was senior heavy last year and lost 17 players, 15 seniors and 2 juniors who declared for the draft.  Kirby has recruited well; the team will be talented but younger.  Don't know if they'll be undefeated, with an early game (week 2) @ South Carolina, and a visit to LSU also.  They play Auburn, GT and TN at home.  Hard to go undefeated in the SEC, even the two best teams in the nation couldn't do it last year.

I totally expect Ga and us to dominate our divisions. It should come down to head to head between us and them for the SEC championship. Kind of like in 2012, basically the Natty again.

What will be interesting, will be, who emerges from the field to challenge, if anybody.

After all of the injuries last year you think you can predict it now?  Injuries decide the winners almost every year.  And if we lose a QB...

Is everybody counting out Tenrc? They had some talent but the staff just couldn't put it together it seems. Just wondering? RTR!

You made my point. Look at all the injuries we had last year. Astronomical! Yet, we still won the Natty. As good as CNS and CKS have recruited, the depth picks up the slack.

Your point taken about the QB, though. That is the one variable that can sink a team.

UGA will have a tougher road to the SECCG this year.  USCe, UF and 10RC will all be better/stronger teams.  And LSU will be some better.  Barn...who knows.  Overall, UGA will have a more physical SEC schedule, hence a greater chance of significant injuries.

I think he will be OK. I manage to get by on less than that.  :eyeroll:
