Appalachian State beats Texas A&M; the Sun Belt team Marshall beats Notre Dame. What's going on?

Morning, all!

I'm feeling better about Bama's game after all the upsets yesterday. At least we escaped with a win.

I had a decent race yesterday. The swim was shortened from 1650 yards to 600 due to the presence of jellyfish. I still took four stings. Other than that it was a great course and the weather was nice until the end when it got really hot. I finished in 2:44:50, placed 128/205 overall and 10/16 in my age group. I'm not the fastest, but this keeps me active and motivated.

Just completing the race is a win. My college roommate took up jogging in his late 50's to try and stay in shape and lose weight. Last year he ran in the NYC Marathon. I admire you guys that are dedicated enough to put in the work to compete in these endurance competitions. Well done my friend!

A few years ago before I had back troubles, I joined a gym. The trainer asked me what my goal was. I told him to be able to bend over to tie my shoes, so I admire you too, Phil.

Mercy me, yesterday was a wild one in college football.   Glad Bama survived it.

We have a couple good learning/improving weeks before a tough road game at Arkansas.

The Sun Belt won 3 games against Power 5 conference teams: Ga. Southern beat Nebraska, App St beat TAMU and Marshall beat the golden domers. Very impressive!!!

Nebraska fired Scott Frost after a 1-2 start to the 2022 season, with the latest defeat coming Saturday against Georgia Southern. The Huskers lost 45-42 after a field goal was no good to tie the game. Wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph serves as interim head coach.

They were actually kind of good to him being a home boy. He should have been fired last year or after NW loss. RTR!

Nebraska has been rather complacent for years now.  They haven't even won a Big12 championship since 1999, much less had any viability of winning a Natty.   Sad for a once proud program that was great under Tom Osbourne.
