THE GOOD Tide scored 90 points and crushed a good Arkansas team, 90-59. Petty 6/10 FG, 5/9 3 pointers for 17 points Tide 18 assists, AR 8 31/64 FG 48.4%, 15/36 3 pointers, 41.7% Juwan Gary, 6’6” freshman, played 8 minutes with 9 points, 3 blocks, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal. He made a huge difference in the game. Bench points: Tide 38, AR 13 Fast Break Points: Tide 20, AR Tide 13/17 FT 76.5% 11 Tide players scored THE BAD Hogs 30 points in paint, Tide 28 AND THE UGLY Nothing. Great game combining great defense & offense. Good to see Herb Jones and Quinerly back. Herb's injury is not as serious as first expected. He played had 13 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in 23 minutes. Quinerly had 7 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds and only 1 turnover. We played a lot of new guys. Juwan Gary looked good. Expect him to get more playing time. Our RPI is 14 and NET is 19. I am impressed with the leadership of Petty, Reese, & Herb Jones (all seniors). Shackleford looks good, too. Their steadiness has been a huge positive for this team.
