Games that are canceled or have one of the teams drop out and be replaced will not count. I will change the line to 0 and put the score in as 0 to 0. That is the only fair thing to do since not everyone will realize they need to go in and make a new pick.

Well good morning all. Dottie is on her 3rd day of pain and she is hurting like crazy. I have never seen her cry from pain but this morning she was crying. Man I have to tell you all thank you so much for prayers but it kills me when when my spouse is laying there hurting and there is nothing I can do. This is surgery pain not back pain.
We both are expressing prayers for the many injured or died in the explosion. May God have Mercy in that area. RTR!

Memphis had lost 4 in a row. We were hot. What happened? I went to bed when we were up 14-10.  Memphis was a pre-season well respected team. They had a ranking as high as #9 before they stated their 4 game skid. They have signed the top ranted recruiting class 2 of the last 3 years. According to the announcers the upper classmen on the team resented the younger (5 star) players starting and taking their playing time. Their locker room was a mess. They got it all worked out just in time for us. Enough about Memphis. We must get better. Our big men are soft. We are a poor rebounding team. We have trouble defending physical post players. We defend like we have never seen a pick & roll. Although we beat Houston they exposed the same issues we had with Memphis. Hopefully this will be a learning experience. We have Jax St and #23 Colorado St left before SEC play starts against #18 Tennessee. The schedule does not get any easier. Spot on analysis. |

Anyone watching Bama/Memphis?
I watched that debacle. We just looked tired. It was a perfect storm for Memphis. They are a very talented team and were trying to salvage their season. We were emotionally drained after 2 big wins and still physically tired from the last game. The biggest thing we need to fix is rebounding. And the fix is easy, more effort! |

We have moved up to #6 in the AP poll and we actually received a first place vote in the Coach's poll. There are only 32 coaches who vote in that poll. I checked, and Nate Oates is one of them. |

What I saw that was kind of off guard, was CNO standing there with his hand extending to receive and congrats but noone showed up. RTR!
The other coach was chasing down the officials trying to convince them the last block was goaltending. I don't know if he came back around later to shake hands. That is 2 final four teams in a row that we have beaten. We still have Baylor, the reigning national champs, on the schedule in late January. The other final four team was UCLA. We don't play them in the regular season, but that is the team that knocked us out of the tournament last year. I expect no less than a #1 seed and a final four this year, if we stay healthy. |

Every single recruit that has come to Alabama under Saban and stayed at least 3 years has at least one national championship ring. That's 15 seasons. Results recruit themselves. CNS will get whoever he wants. If someone doesn't sign with Alabama, either we probably didn't want them or they are just too dumb to seize the opportunity, which also means we probably didn't want them and just didn't realize it yet.

Good morning: Thursday, eh?  Rain coming tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, etc. Ugh. But today should be warmer, windy, and nice. Hope to get my car back from the shop today. Did I mention I erased a pronghorn in Wyoming?  I bet your car said ouch! Better watch your weather, Chech. Looks like severe stuff heading your way. Yeah I see that severe weather coming Saturday. Ugh. BTW, when I told a buddy out west I'd hit a pronghorn, he asked: "How? They're the fastest mammal in North America." Me: "I found the slowest one. It's a Darwin thing." Well your buddy was wrong. Jameson Williams is the fastest mammal in North America. |
