The announcers at the NFL Combine just reviewed him, and they said he helped himself despite the injury. One of them said he probably won't stay in the draft past St. Louis (14th pick).
I think, at this point, that might be the best expected. He's a talent, but this is MEGA$$$$$$$$$ involved. The series of injuries hurts his chances.

I don't like it. It captures the moment, and probably his personality, but usually statues are best when they present a dignified pose. He looks like a cartoon character. Maybe that's why I'm not an artist.

Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Marcel Dareus and Nick (bad booger) Fairley battle for top pick

WHAT'S UP MTIDER!!
I agree, also the difference in schemes Fairley played versus schemes Dareus played that prepared Dareus more for a DL particularly on the inside & his body type is A LOT more impressive than Fairley, people thought Fairley's body type was impressive with his long arms b/c of how tall they thought he was (6'5" - 6'6") but when the combine height showed him as 6'2" & some odd it showed how compact he was for his body type & Dareus is a lot broader shoulders and lean, mean body type than Fairley who's a little more chubby body type & then you see how raw Fairley is on tape. He has huge hands & long arms & uses little to no arm movement off the release & shows quick feet, which is really what helped him become so dominant & good lean to get around the edge, but needs a wider base, which is coachable, so basically he has all the tools to be good just poor coaching & technique & that's why he's so raw. You put on Dareus' tape & he knows how to use his tree trunk arms & is a fierce & violent attacker off a snap (why Sapp likes him so much) that overpowers a lot of OL & with his wide frame it'll still work in the NFL & yesterday at the combine he showed how quick he was & how good his feet were, it's almost like a finished product for the NFL right now which is why it was so easy to see at the combine.
Hope you're right, but there seems a lot of love for Fairley at the Combine. I can't see it. Part of it is the discussion about Fairley "playing big in the big games". He was fortunate against us to get an O-line without our best lineman. Then he played USCe and Oregon. Give me a break.

Major-league bummer. I was dreaming of Julio going 4th; 10th at least. Now?
No way. This is his third or fourth injry/srgery in 3 years. That means he's injury-prone in the eyes of the NFL. He may be tough, but he is also fragile, it appears. I don't see anyone dropping such huge money on him in the first 10 picks. I expect to see him go 20-30 in the first round. I'm still hoping he gets taken by Washington as their first (14th?) pick.

I don't think this race will be determined in the spring. I think the competition goes until August. But it will be interesting to see how A-Day goes.
I agree. Barring injury, we won't know until August who is the starter. I think Sims has more potential, but there is so little experience I can't be sure. AJ has at least seen the games and been on the field. Toss up right now.

He ran a 4.39/40 with a broken foot. I dont think it hurts him.
BUT, whats the deal with his bones? Does he need to drink more milk?
I'm afraid that's the NFL focus this morning. UGH. Off to work now...thanks. Drive safely. I read (I think it was from SLO over on woolly, not sure) that ESPN reported a lock out imminent. I will see if I can find more info. Yeah, saw that post about the lockout. I don't think their opinions matter YET.

Maybe I am being optimistic, but it sure sounds like the barn is about to burn to the ground. When I say about, I mean soon, like this week.
Just a false start at the barn burning. But it would be nice. Good to see you chechem. We're a work in progress, but the software is nice and I think it will turn out pretty well. Let us know if you have any suggestions. Thanks much. Just added an avatar. I like this. I couldn't get the link in your OP to work, but otherwise it's cool. THANKS for the work. Supercoach is the man behind the effort. Yeah, I watched it unfold last night. Interesting to see how far it goes on the Aub forum. BTW, the OP link worked just now for me.
