NCAA autonomy for the big boys embraces a playing field already tilted in their favor

Quote
Thursday's vote by the NCAA Division I Board of Directors grants some degree of autonomy to the SEC and the other Power 5 conferences. The move is really an act of self-preservation for big and small schools alike, but he seems to believe this decision "could create an uneven playing field that may prevent some institutions from being able to compete fairly with other schools that have superior resources to pay for student-athletes." ...

The little guys just got smaller.   Kiss

Well here I see schools who are after money. The small schools. Why should they care about the power 5? I really out yonder on this idea. I don't find fault. JMHO. RTR!

What will Power 5 autonomy mean for Alabama and Auburn?
While the value of autonomy could be great in terms of student-athlete welfare, the gulf between the Crimson Tide and Tigers and mid-majors is so wide it may not affect competitive advantage..
