ditto... we're here.  +1

Good idea, maybe we need an e-cred smiley.

Those are my next order of business I think.
23043  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: E-Cred Updates on: March 07, 2011, 12:09:01 AM
Another +1 for the entire board.  That will probably be the last of the E-Creds for the early adopters.  We have over 100 members now and so much activity that I struggle to read all of the posts.

We are off to a fantastic start.  Thanks guys for making this a great place to hang out.
23044  Around Campus / Ferguson Student Center / Re: Former WWII sniper is still making the shots at 84 years old on: March 06, 2011, 11:00:59 PM
I saw a special on snipers on one of the military channels the other night.

They featured some kid who killed 19 insurgents in one day as they tried to cross an alley way.  He was hitting moving targets at 600 yards.  After the story they brought him in to the range, he was retired, but repeated the 600 yard moving target shot.

That's sick.

I think I saw that show a couple of months back.  Did he shoot one of the guys through a cement wall?  The show I saw had that.  He saw the guys sneak around the corner and they stopped right behind a wall.  He could see both exits where they had to come out, and was watching for them.  After a while they never showed, so he decided to take a shot through the wall.  He guessed about where their head would be and squeezed off a round.  The next thing he saw was that the wall behind them was sprayed red.  He never actually saw the guy after he hid behind the wall.

It has been a while since I was on XP, but I will try to do this from memory.

Right click on your desktop background.  You should see a menu for properties.  Click on that.

If not, you should be able to go to Start => Control Panel => Display.

That should bring up a screen that looks something like this:

Then click on the last tab that says Settings.  Now you should see this one, which has your screen size in pixels.  Don't change anything, just look at it and then hit cancel.  In this picture the size is 1280 x 1024.

Thanks.

I put a fresh coat of paint on your computer for you while you were out.  Wink

What if we meet Florida in the finals, play a good game with a lead in the fourth quarter, and then lose in a close game when that Parsons kid takes over at the end.  All in year 2 under CAG.  If that happens, we might be in for a nice run in year 3.  Smiley  I wonder if Texas is supposed to have a good team next year...
23051  Around Campus / Ferguson Student Center / Re: My compliments to SuperCoach. on: March 06, 2011, 06:21:11 PM
Thanks.

If they want an ad, they will have to fit it in that one little skinny banner over in the corner.  Smiley

Not sure.  I never had any classes there.  It may not have even been there back then.  Smiley

I did take the spelling from the UA site so it should be correct.
23053  Around Campus / Paty Hall / Computer forum by request on: March 06, 2011, 06:09:34 PM
There were a few of you who wanted a computer forum, so here you go.  I don't know how much activity it will see.  If nobody uses it much we might combine it back with the Quad or something.

I looked at the class schedule and it looks like most of the computer classes are in Paty Hall these days, hence the name.

Happy Sunday Afternoon all!

We made it through the weekend camping. Of course it rained ALL day yesterday so my sister and I stayed inside and played WII. the guys (being all macho.. aka DUMB in my opinion) stayed outside until about 6:30pm.  It was rainy and windy.. made no sense to me. They came in and we watched "Faster". It was okay but not particularly my kind of movie.  A good "MAN" movie I guess.

Anyway - today is beautiful although COLD and windy as heck!  I'm happy to be home though.

Looks like everyone was busy while I was gone.. will take a while to catch up but I'll get started on it Smiley

Welcome back!

While you're reading through the new posts, feel free to move them to one of the new boards if you want.  I justed added most of the ones people have been asking for.
23055  Around Campus / Rose Administration Building / New Boards and Topic Moves on: March 06, 2011, 04:51:28 PM
I just added several of the new boards that we have been discussing.  I am in the process of moving some of the topics to the right place.  I won't clutter the forum up with move notices since there are going to be so many.  If you can't find a topic you posted in maybe you can try out the search functions and let me know how that works.  It is conveniently located on the right side of the screen on the menu bar with the new layout.  You can click the magnifying glass to go to the advanced search screen.  You can also just post something in here if you still can't find it and I will try to track it down for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
