Ed friggen' Zachary! Those weren't students he paid money to, they were full grown adults, coaches and staff, that should have to bare no scrutiny from the  NCAA. They aren't students, they aren't enrolled in school and they aren't even recruits for crying out loud. The NCAA should have absolutely no say in this unless that money was transferred to students or some such nonsense as that. The NCAA didn't pay Richt that money, his employer did. He should be able to do with that money as he pleases. Just one more reason the NCAA doesn't garner any respect.

This whole concept is ridiculous.  I respect him for doing the right thing for his staff, but I lost a lot of respect for Georgia as a university.  Their board and AD knew he was doing this and should have paid the coaches themselves, out of shame if for no other reason.
