Yes it is pouring rain here. It is still cold. We had to relight the heat in the house this morning.
Well we finished up yesterday with 82 hours and 4 minutes to read through the Bible and did our National Day of Prayer on the Courthouse lawn. We had 30 churches involved with 2 being out of our Baptist Association. One was a Baptist church from Calhoun CO. and one was the Mount Olive Church of GOD. We had 305 different readers. Our pictures will be in the Cleburne News next week which is owned by the Anniston Star. The reporter ask me my name and I wondered why, he said he got some real good shots of me so if you all check it out you may see me finally. Well another day in the store and maybe some rest this weekend. My back has got to hurting a little worse. Guess time to rest and slow down as Chechem said earlier. You all have a Safe and very Blessed day. RTR!

I saw you on CNN last year ricky.  And now you are in the newspaper too.  How does it feel to be so famous?

Good morning.  Coffee

SATURDAY.  Two of my neighbors are having yard sales this weekend, so (despite it being 5AM) cars are lined up in the street awaiting them.  Dogs are barking.

LF and I joined friends for a night out (last night) at a new restaurant in Oxford.  Supposed to be "New Orleans cuisine", and it was good.  It wasn't New Orleans.  We came back to the Chech Villa for dessert on the new deck.  Fun time.

It was VERY WINDY yesterday, gusting to 50mph here, and limbs and leaves were down everywhere.  Today should be beautiful, just beautiful.  Maybe I'll go fishing this afternoon.  My flyrod needs a workout!

I didn't hit a lick at anything other than the pool yesterday. Was completely worn out from the MB trip. My golf buddies want me to play golf today. I don't really feel like it, but I hate letting them down, so I'll drag myself to the golf course and let them take my money.

Prolly come home for a nap after that.

Morning. Coffee

Pretty cool here this morning but it should be  nice day. We went to the softball game last night and the girls didn't disappoint us again, they can't hit a lick as Auburn won in 9 innings 3-0. Osorio struck out 18 in her effort and it's a shame she doesn't get more support from the bats. Little john came in and lost it in the 9th. There was over 4,000 fans there last night and the next two games are sell outs as well.

Had a busy day yesterday sorting through things and throwing away a bunch of it and Mrs. J didn't even fuss at me. Have a good day everyone. Pray Cheesy

Good morning folks. It is about 53 degrees in Mobile this morning but it doesn't really feel that cool. I think we have a busy day planned so I'm not sure if the kids and I will get the chance to go fishing...

Good morning.

Looking forward to the golf report from 2 and the fishing report from NALT.

I went over to help a friend build an outhouse.    Actually it's an outdoor bath house, complete with septic system, flushing toilet, and a sink.  Got it mostly done.  Had trouble getting the water system to work properly; water fed by a header tank didn't have enough pressure to work the flush mechanisms, so we went with an on/off valve to fill the toilet tank.

The rusty-tin look was by choice: "RUSTIC".

Stay warm, Ricky.  Afternoons are beautiful these days.

Lots of news from recruits and signees.  Not much other football news.  Thanks to Jamos for updates on softball!

Jerry Lewis inhabited my body for the first nine holes yesterday. No trace of the good golf I played in MB. I played better the back nine, but the damage was done. I lost $12.
 Shocked

Today is a day of rest.

Good morning folks. We have really had a good time away from home this weekend. We spent a large portion of yesterday at Battleship Park. The normal attractions are very cool but they were also hosting a HUGE car show. Lots of really cool low riders if you like those. We finally got down to Cedar point in Dauphin Island last night to fish. Oldest boy caught one small Grunt but nothing else. The girl, middle boy and I didn't catch anything but the youngest boy caught a nice blue crab on rod &reel. He actually got it on the pier too. He managed to get 2 more on but they dropped off when he tried pulling them out of the water. Boy was he excited... I don't know when I have enjoyed watching a kid fishing...
Heading home this afternoon though. Somebody has to go back to work...

sorry the fishing wasn't better N.AL-Tider
sounds like you and the kids had a great time though
Mr. Mac at the pier is good people

next time you go try this ...
get some #10 treble hooks from the pier store
put a 3/4 oz. weight above a swivel
tie a 18 in. leader on the bottom of the swivel and then the #10 treble
get some dead shrimp from Mr. Mac or Ralph  at the pier store
peel the shrimp like you are going to eat it
weave it around the #10 treble so it looks like a ball on the three hooks
the white trout love it
the second light from the T on the west side is the hot spot usually
we fed the Vigor football team a nice trout dinner with this method

on the east side of the pier in the same spot try this
your biggest rod and reel combo
a 3-6 oz.  weight with a large hook set up the same way as for the trout
buy a few live crabs from the pier store and bait up the hook
throw it far as you can towards the DI bridge and wait for the fight of your life
big redfish , black drum and sharks will give you a nice tug ...
