Hey it is my belief that herbstriet does not like Alabama and he is trying to get inside our heads. We don't need to let him do that, he is trying to hype us so we start feeling cocky right from the start and get those upsets this year. What we need to do is remember Auburn last year and not listen to Herbstriet until after the NCG. RTR!
Herbie picked Auburn to win the SEC last year, going against all the other experts. I think he had watched some summer practices. This year I agree with him, the Barn will be lucky to be bowl eligible. They could lose 2 of their first 3 games, and then it really will start getting ugly for them.

"So I guess you are on team AJ? If he has a Jesus tattoo and a blonde co-ed on his arm he has to be the best QB.
I wouldn't want to meet that second guy on a QB sneak at the goal line."
I like them both for now and trust Saban's judgment.
AJ's girlfriend has a bag over her head, so the verdict is still out on him. And if the Predator can master that invisibility device, then all bets are off.

Bush was not the #1 back at N.O. anyway, and with his $11+ million salary next year it would have been hard for the Saints to get under the new salary cap. Clearly the Saints staff like HTWMI, though. He a guy working out with teammates during the lockout, getting ready for the season and a new system, while Bush was sitting on his a$$ collecting his doh!.

Cecil Hurt's take on Butch Davis: http://alabama.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1244929
First RR, now BD. Bama got really lucky that we ended up with CNS.
In a lot of ways besides improprieties. But speaking of which, every day that passes without a BAMA violation or player arrest is a great testimony to what CNS has done in Tuscaloosa. We are under the microscope, perhaps moreso than any other team, because not only is the NCAA watching but every jealous "also ran" in the country. The media, as well as our competitors would love to "get the goods" on the Tide. While it is almost impossible to run a program without a single incident, we have come close to that and should be headlined a shining star for doing things the right way. You imply it, but don't say it. Butch might have sent us down a very, very ugly path if he'd taken the Bama job. Whew. You said it.

For now, the uncertainty at QB requires that both players work hard to improve their game, which I think is what Saban hopes to accomplish. Nothing like competition to motivate players. Sims will be a star one day, and he deserves a shot at the head QB job now. I think eventually Bama will have one starting QB, but it may not happen until the third game.
