I also hope that his straight would range at least 35 to 40 yards because correct me if I am wrong but this where the most FG attempts come from in college. RTR! It is common to leave redshirts at home and take walk on special team players. You can dress as many at home as you want. It is common to leave redshirts at home and take walk on special team players. You can dress as many at home as you want. What this means is that spring and summer practice consists of the 85 scholarship players and 20 non-scholarship players, aka walk-ons. A "preferred walk-on" is one who is guaranteed a spot on the 105 player roster (does not have to try out), and can participate in spring and summer practice, but he is not awarded a scholarship. In watching his video, he consistently kicks the ball into the end zone and his punts were in the 50-60 yard range. I think he will need to work on his hang time of his punts a little but that is a a small thing to improve.
