Hey Chech, about how far away were those grizzlies when you photographed them?  Also, how long would it have taken one of them to close that distance between it and you?  Just curious and I'll hang up and listen...

That fuzzy grizzly pic was taken from a mile away.  The ones I posted a week or so ago were taken from across the street.  The grizzlies could have closed the gap in a few seconds.  But I was standing next to a fat old lady.  HTH

Sunday June 17th:

RAIN all day.  But the US Open was on TV all day, so we watched in our rooms, then went to a sports bar for $3 wings and the Koepka win.

Check out these nasty skies.  We're under a flood warning.

Man you must be some altitude because those things look like they are right at the top of your head. RTR!

Monday June 18th:

I went into the park, despite the heavy rain.  It was okay; few other cars except at this "bison jam".  Not too bad, maybe 15-min delay.  That's my car hood in the foreground.

Elk antlers are still growing.

This Mallard was eating earthworms (by the dozen).

Yeah, it's 6600 feet here at the motel.  The bison pics were in Hayden Valley; 7700'.

Nice.  The "valley" is 1016' higher than anything east of the Mississippi.

Wow those Elk antlers, are some big ones. I love those Bison pics because they seem to know that they are the owners of the road and just take their precious time. lol, RTR!

Indeed.  We spent an hour behind a herd of them yesterday.

Tuesday June 19th:

We went fishing, and the weather was perfect.  I haven't downloaded the pics yet, but my buddy and I each caught 8 trout, plus I caught 2 chubs.

Along the shore we saw a flock of Western Tanagers (beautiful):

Late in the afternoon we saw an elk cow and its calf near the Yellowstone River.  Sorry, but it was foggy and raining.

For Ricky.  This was taken out the car window.  He's a big boy!!

I still think those beefalos would appreciate a good hair brushing.
