The Bama and Cal Poly game turned out to be a complete oposite of the Bama/Stanford game last night. Bama won the game in the 8th inning 1-0 by way of the International Tie Breaker rule. This rule allows the team at bat to put their last out of the previous inning on second to start the inning. Cal Poly failed in their effort in the top of the 8th and Bama was allowed to put Haylie McCleney on second to start their half of the inning. Demi Turner sacrificed her to third with a bunt and then Danielle Richard hit a scrifice fly to left field that scored McCleney. There were only 3 hits in the game and Bama had 2 of them.

Sydney Littlejohn went the distance giving up 1 hit and had 10 K's. Bama plays next and the game has already started. This game will be broadcast on 790 AM instead of the 95.3 FM.

How many times have you seen a team bust loose with a bunch of runs in a game or 2, then have trouble scoring in the next one. Glad they won and good luck to them against Stanford.

Here is a link for anyone that would like to listen to the game.

There is a lot of commercials on the station but they do have the game on it.

I may have lied about the game on the station, all I'm getting is music.

Stanford loaded tha bases with no outs. Jury gets a FC to home for the first out, then gets a strike but walks the next batter on 4 pitches forcing in a run. She then struck out the next batter.

Stanford leads after 4 innings 2-1.

Bama's record is now 9-1 and losing to Stanford at their field is no disgrace. I think the loss will help the team some as those winning streaks start to play mental games with the players. Also this was their 9th game in the last 8 days and that's a lot of games plus they traveled to California Thursday after the Samford game on Wednesday.

I would say there is probably a little jet lag with the team right now. They should be able to bounce back against Pacific tomorrow. RTR!!!

Yes sir, they've packed a lot in over the past 10 days. They'll rebound tomorrow and then head home for some needed rest.
