I wonder what the o/u might be on him finishing the season still on the team. Livingston is a perfect setting for someone with a drug problem. Wink

Nothing says rehabbing your playing career quite like going to Livingston.

I'm guessing it wasn't the sprawling metropolis that it is today?  Cool

Livingston is a unique place. Some students love it and others could not make it throught the first quarter (semeter system now). I loved it.

pmull Livingston University Class of 79  Cool

BTW, I did not have any say in the name change to University of West Alabama. It will still be LU if it was up to me.

I was at Troy State. I still like Troy State better than Troy. Oh and we were the "Red Wave" not the Trojans, when I was there.

I took a couple of specialty classes there for the company I worked for many years ago. Does that count?

I wanted to play football in college and Alabama with Bear Bryant as the coach would have been my first choice since I have been an Alabama fan as long as I can remember. The only problem was I was not good enough. What little talent I did have was in baseball. I was being recruited my Miss State but they wanted me to go to Jeff State JUCO for two years. I wanted to go away to school so I accepted a tutition and books scholarship to Livingston. Never regretted it. It was the right choice for me.

Did you get semester credit?  Otherwise, we'll have to ask the Anti-Bamite League.

Well, since you turned to SERIOUSNESS, Livingston was a solid school.  At least it was when I visited it back in the 70s.  Their profs gave closer attention to students than I ever got at Alabama.  Sounds like you made a solid choice.
But you missed some memorable years at the Capstone.

I liked the small classes and personal attention the profs were able to provide. I did not push my kids to any school but I did make it known I preferred a smaller school for this reason. One went to Montevallo and the other started her second year at UNA today. I have been real impressed with both of those schools.
