Was 2008 the Tornado year?
Yes. The Tourney was moved to Georgia Tech after the Bama/Miss State game. Georgia had to play two games in one day which I had never seen before or since. That tornado stole our SEC championship.   Almost cost me a nice pair of pants too.... scared the you know what out of me |

We have the best possible bracket (as long as things don't change) that we could ask for. Miss St, aTm, UK.....anybody but UF until the championship game.

Why does Rodney Cooper think he's the go to guy in the clutch? I do not understand him taking the key shots at the end of the game.
But we lost the game on the sequence mentioned earlier. We were down 1 with 4:35 to play. Fouled on a made basket, didn't rebound the missed FT. UK then hits a 3 and we are down 6 with 3:57 to play without ever touching the ball.

I'm losing count. How many years in a row have we had something like this take place at this time of the year. We've had players get suspended, we've had players just quit, transfer....
If it happens every year and with all kinds of different players, it must be on the other end that is causing the problem!
I'm sick of basketball season being over in Dec/Jan. Hoops is my favorite sport and I do not like having to pick a new favorite team every winter just to be interested in the NCAA tourney. FIX THIS CRAP BILL BATTLE!

What Billy D has at Florida this year shows you that he is the key piece of the Fla coaching staff. Everybody thought Grant was such a key guy on that staff as far as recuiting and working on the Defensive end. Well....the gators don't seem to be hurting with talent and they lead the SEC in Defense. Maybe we should get somebody else from their staff!!!

Jamos, I talked to a guy in the REC that said from what he gathered from the meetings, Blake would be the main QB with Coker working his way into the rotation during the early games of the season. Is that what you gathered from what you heard?

I think we only have 3 seniors leaving.
We have 9 scholarship players now and lose at least 2 or 3 of them. That would give us 5 scholly's to offer. Surely Grant will fill all the slots and must have something in the works, I hope.  Not counting walk ons we have 9 eligible scholarship players this year: Releford Randolph Cooper Jacobs Engstrom Obasohan Key Hale Taylor Only Randolph is a senior. There is rumors Engstrom will not come back for his senior season which would be his fifth. Without Engstrom we have 7 coming back. We have 2 transfers that will be eligible next year and 3 new incoming freshmen. Transfers: Ricky Tarrant Michael Kessens Incoming Freshmen: Justin Coleman Devin Mitchell Riley Norris That gives us 12 without Engstrom and a full 13 with Engstrom. CAG is looking at JUCO inside players hoping to land one more for the late signing period. This is also the chance Engstrom will return. I think we will have 13 players next year. Our team will look much different next year and I think we all agree that is a good thing. We will have a good balance of inside and outside players. Randolph is not a SR, Releford is. Why would anybody think Grant will turn the corner now? He hasn't been able to build his own team anywhere he has been. Not sure why you guys think next year will be any different. His offense is just junk. It doesn't matter who you have playing, if you pass up good shots to take contested difficult shots late in the shot clock, you are never going to be successful on that end of the floor. Get rid of him tomorrow. Let him stay at Fla after the game with his friends. Bite the bullet and bring in new blood! |
