Interesting article about baseball fun facts. For instance, Sammy Sosa hit 60+ HR 3 times but how many times did he lead the league in those 3 years? Hey, I know it's not football but I'm desperate.

Excellent example of how statistics can be misleading if not taken in the full context of their nature. For instance, who hit .406, won 7 batting titles, won the Triple Crown TWICE, and has a lifetime batting average of .344 (or .342, not exctly sure)? Yep, Ted Williams, so really Johnny Damon couldn't wear Williams jock, much less carry it.

Williams was truely one of the greatest. I remember when he and the Red Sox came to Birmingham and he brought one of the craziest players ever with him, Jimmy Piersall.

I would have to agree with MD. I think Ted was a better player with more hits for sure. Now if you placed an Eddie Murray in there it might get tougher. RTR!
