Way too early to speculate, but what the heck.

Mike Forestall at TE is a new name. Now, can Sims and Foster go a whole season healthy? Christian Miller at OLB is another name I don't remember. I hope Hamilton will be 100% in September.

Quote
Outside linebacker
1. Christian Miller
2. Jamey Mosley
3. Ben Davis
Note: Miller has waited his turn and should have a role as an edge rusher in 2017. It'll be interesting to see how Davis fits into his new position after redshirting as a middle linebacker last season.

Middle linebacker
1. Shaun Dion Hamilton (out for spring with torn ACL from SEC Championship)
2. Mack Wilson
Note: Hamilton should be fine by August, but that opens an opportunity for young players like Wilson in spring.

Middle linebacker
1. Rashaan Evans
2. Keith Holcombe
3. Dylan Moses
Note: Evans moved into a starting role after Hamilton's injury in the SEC Championship. Holcombe has been a steady backup while Moses brings the potential of a national high school player of the year.

Lot of talent to work with and if Tony Brown keeps his nose clean he can be a great help to this years team. I am wondering who our Special Teams specialists will be? RTR!

We will have to wait and see about the DB's.

For the last IDK 5 or 6 years, or DB's have not been the kind that go for the ball. They make the tackle after the catch but the last guy that was pretty good and at getting the ball was Dre.

It's been :deadhorse: but why they don't look for the ball is still beyond me.  I can't stand it when a Qb just throws up a ball and the other teams Wr just grabs it for a first down or TD. and the DB is right there.

ok rant over. :stop:

I'm in total agreement with you Senior.  One more thing that really bothered me was watching Tony Brown play against a receiver.  When the receiver catches the ball Tony seems to have a habit of trying to knock him down and doesn't wrap up like he should.  There were several plays this past season where Tony gave up yards because of that practice.  I just don't understand why Coach Saban hasn't stopped that...  >:(

I have wondered for several years now if they are actually taught that technique.  That is the only thing I can think of that would allow the same thing to happen year after year with different players.

:dunno:

Clemson tore us up because of this, especially on that last drive.  Several of those passes would have been intercepted if the DB played the ball in the air.
