I'm hearing that some think Ingram may fall to the secound round. Reasons given are that this is not a good RB class, teams have other needs, etc etc. It seems that this is a symptom of the fact that the NFL is such a QB-driven league that in some cases the run game is an afterthought. I know that there are some great RBs still in the league and they get their 1000 yd seasons, but right now this is a QB-driven league. Do you think the pendulum will eventually swing back the other way? Will we see RBs that can dominate a game the way Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith used to? Just wanted to start a discussion since not much else is going on right now.

Lots of teams, particularly Denver, have had success drafting 3-4 round running backs. Running backs take such a pounding many teams aren't willing to risk a top pick on a player who may be around for only 2-3 years.

Do you think the age ceiling has gotten lower for RBs? It used to be that after age 30 the RBs were considered to be in decline. Could the age of decline now be 28? I agree, they do take a terrific pounding. It just seems to me that you don't see many RBs dominate the game the way they used to. Emmitt, Barry, Eric Dickerson, James Brown, Earl Campbell, Tony Dorsett. Is the golden age of RBs over?
