I saw this posted on another site. Anybody else heard any rumors of LK being canned or resigning? I usually don't get caught up in rumors, but apparently it is a hot topic right now.

I heard Finebaum mention something about some grumblings in passing on College Football Live the other day.  I had no idea what he was talking about though.

Oh no worries, I don't actually BELIEVE anything until official word comes out. I just heard this and wondered if anyone else had been hearing such rumors. Or until Jamos says so.  :D

Obviously a good chunk of that, if not 100%, is just made up.  Whoever made it up should be held accountable.  This is ridiculous.

There is some discussion of this over on W Al.  One poster there says (I think) that this was started via a tweet sent out by an UTenn fan or maybe an alum.  Doesn't seem to be any substance to it.

Just saw that Kiffin was trending on Twitter.  Went back to find the earliest tweets on the subject and they were all from Tennessee fans. 

I am sure the social media group likes to stir the pot after we lost a football game and then all the melt down. CL:K had 500 yds of offense and I don't think there is another OC in the country that can come up with that kind of game plan. As far as the rumor, I got a feeling if anything like that happened his wife would let us all know before the media got wind of it. I think CLK will be loading up about 600 yds of offense Saturday. I trust our staff until i am proven wrong. RTR!

Ok. Now I feel sad for stooping to the level of the Viles.  :(

It's not just Tennessee fans now.  Everyone is chiming in.  The "jokes" are pretty disgusting.  Either it's false, in which case people are spreading lies.  Or there's some truth to it (no evidence of that yet), and lives and families are going to be destroyed, which is not something that should be joked about.

Hmmm.

I'll just wait for official word.

People who work for Saban have a hard time with their own personal life because of how much is demanded from them.

I'm like some of you on here, some times the best way to say something is to not say anything at all. We all know about vicious rumors as it starts with a simple statement and ends up as a train wreck. I'm with you Chech.  :-X

All I know is, tomorrow's Friday and Saturday is game day.

I hear ya, SC. People post things they would never say to someone's face for fear of getting it ripped off. Cowards.

I saw this on the Yahoo website this morning as a Fox Sports article.  When I checked back 20 minutes later after telling someone for a laugh it was gone.  It's getting pretty bad when someone will quote Twitter for a sports story.  The article quoted three Tweets.  The first was Kiffin had a fight with Saban and was fired, Kiffin got caught having sex with a booster's wife, and the third that Kiffin was caught sleeping with Saban's daughter.  It's sad how many haters jumped on the article to slam Saban and Kiffin.  Most folks commenting were taking bunk Twitter garbage as factual.  Anyone who has seen Layla Kiffin would have a hard time believing the last two...

My worry is defense, not offense.  Beginning in 2013, the enemy has been hanging some 40s on us. That's just not traditional Bama defenses.

Except Twitter isn't entirely anonymous.  I think someone recently won a pretty big settlement against a guy who spread false info via Twitter.

You can easily go back and see who made the first tweets and what they said.  It started with a Facebook page called 'The Real NCAA', or something like that, alleging Kiffin had slept with a booster's wife.  Within about three tweets it had become Saban's daughter.  As far as I can tell, not one moderately respectable news organization has even mentioned the rumors. 

Not that Saban or Kiffin need the money, but if I was them and there's no truth to the rumors I would pursue legal action against the people who started this.

I agree.  There comes a point where it isn't about the money but rather about simply right and wrong.  Whoever started those tweets and whoever added to them, IMO, did a horrible injustice to each person mentioned, especially Kiffin and Coach Saban's daughter...  Go after them and hit them hard..

False alarm on the Tweets about Kiffin hittin' on the ladies in a bar. Turns out it was this guy. I can see how some people might mistake him for Kiffin.
