I wonder if etiquette is different for gymnastics.  Several years ago, at a gymnastics meet between us and Georgia, one of their gymnasts had a minor fall from the balance beam.  She basically stepped off and wasn't the least bit hurt.  It was a tight match up until then, and I said, whispering to myself, "YES!!!"  Well, some woman behind me started going on rather loudly about how classless Alabama fans are.  I kept my comments to her to myself, but I'm thinking that if an opposing football player gets creamed by one of our guys, I'm going to cheer as long as both guys get up.  Am I missing something that's different about gymnastics?  Huh?

Update on other regionals ----

In the Michigan regional - KENT STATE was not finished earlier when Minnesota and Stanford were tied.  Michigan and Kent State will go on to the NCAA's from this region.   An even BIGGER UPSET.

Oregon State and Nebraska lead their regional.

Florida has a 98.525 after 2 rotations to lead their regional.

Come on, Illinois!  If I calculated correctly, they need greater than a 48.75 on beam to beat the barn.

Just from glancing, it looks like Kayla Hoffman may have won the all-around.

Just from glancing, it looks like Kayla Hoffman may have won the all-around.

So far, she's winning 3 events - Vault, Bars, and Floor - and tied for 2nd on Beam.
I'd bet my next paycheck she's won the All-Around.

Geralen Stack-Eaton is winning the Beam title.

I wouldn't feel bad about whispering "Yes!!!" when it's Georgia.  Their fans were doing the wave while our ladies were on the beam this year trying to break their concentration.

There are only two spots left in the NCAA Championships.

In the Denver regional, Florida is leading.  Arkansas and Boise State are fighting for the final spot.

Oregon State and Nebraska have wrapped up their spots.
