WVU v. Baylor this week. Both teams have yet to play a real game. Both are giving up 24+ to sisters of the poor. Baylor's big win was ULM (gave up 42) and WVU beat a team that beat William & Mary 7-6. They have no business in the Top 15 yet.

I almost put Georgia at #2.  Oregon won in blow out fashion, but having watched that game, I think they're beatable by someone who can control the line of scrimmage and slow down the pace of the game.  FSU and Clemson, I thought South Carolina would've beat either of them that game probably.  They both play an NBA type of game...try to get an athlete out in open space.  You'll never see that many runs around in the end in an SEC game.  That's all well and good, but that's not gonna work against an SEC with 11 athletes on D.  As bad as I hate to say it, I kinda like the brand of football that Notre Dame is playing right now.  They're winning up front, especially on the DL.

1.   Alabama
2.   Oregon
3.   Georgia
4.   Florida State
5.   LSU
6.   South Carolina
7.   Kansas State
8.   Notre Dame
9.   West Virginia
10.   USC
11.   Texas
12.   Florida
13.   Oklahoma
14.   Clemson
15.   TCU

And the crazy thing is I'm not very confident that Georgia will beat South Carolina.  If USC still had Melvin Ingram, I'd give them the edge, but I still think the key will be how well Georgia's OL handles their DL.  Connor Shaw has really developed into a gritty gamer.

I put Oregon at #4.  Their offense has been exposed the last two SEC teams they played, LSU last year and Auburn's terrible SEC defense two years ago.  And their defense has given up points this year, except to Arizona (which blew scoring opportunties).  I think they would lose to Bama, Georgia and USCe, and possibly LSU this year.

My Top 15 probably looks different from most others. I am not sold on FSU or Florida. My selections:

1.  Alabama
2.  Oregon-I almost put Georgia here
3.  Georgia
4.  South Carolina
5.  LSU
6.  Florida State
7.  Kansas State-I really like K. State and think they are the surprise of the year
8.  West Virginia
9.  Stanford
10. Florida
11. Texas
12. Oklahoma
13. Ohio State-They are so lucky to be in such a weak conference this year
14. Notre Dame
15. Clemson

I agree with all of you about which team is Number 1.  Wink

After them, I have 4 other SEC teams in my Top 10.  I had to give some recognition to Stanford for getting USC out of the way.

I don't have much love for Texas, Ohio State, TCU, or Notre da#@.  Tinfoil Hat

I just don't see Stanford as a big boy team. Of course, they play in the PAC 12, which has an average to slightly above average group of teams this year. I think Stanford is primed to be upset by someone like UCLA or Oregon State, plus they still have to play Oregon & Notre Dame.

Well Mr. HL I have Alabama at the top of the poll. The reason is because nobody but maybe Oregon could be close at this time. My poll is different I know but this was number picking and heart felt. RTR!

You vote how you want, Ricky, I was just giving you a hard time in fun.  Honestly the only two games I've seen LSU play this year were the Washington and Auburn games.  Going by the Washington game before we all saw the Auburn let down, I couldn't blame you for putting LSU number one.  They were really impressive against the Huskies.
