I'm sure you have heard this, but in real life the relief out there is way way more than it seems on TV.  And that grass is a like a carpet.  I think the coolest thing is the no advertisements.  No pepsi, nike, budweiser, nothing.

I'd like to see it.  I've played on great courses, but not there.  Around here your tee has to be drilled into the tee box.  At a quality course, the soil feels like putty.  Oh, and the grass is indeed like a carpet at good courses.  Here it's like my yard.

When Phil gets on a roll, it can last a couple of weeks. I'll pick him and agree that as long as a foreigner doesn't win, I'm happy. Unfortunately, the foreigners are great players and are due at Augusta.

I think McIllroy or Kaymer will win it. The young guys have taken over and Tiger is done. His foolishness means more than golf now, he knows he will never spend all he has. I like seeing the handshakes coming back into the picture and the young guys winning and setting their on records. My only pick from older players would be VJ Singh. He gets a stroke going he will be hot in his play. RTR!

That is the track record with McIlroy- strong start, weak finish. But he is only 23 yrs. old. He is growing up every tournament.

BTW, when I was at the masters I talked to a guy you had gotten to play on volunteer day.  His handicap was 5.  He said he shot 113 at Augusta.

It will be very interesting to see who is hot and who is not today. The younsters have set the pace but now Tiger is standing in the doorway, it will be a very interesting day of golf especially to see if this is the real Tiger or he just had a good day yesterday.

Maybe we should predict who will be the leader after today.  I predict:
1. Rory shoots +1, but still leads.
2. Tiger shoots E par today and is at -7 (2 shots back).
3. Westwood shoots into 3rd pacle.
4. Phil shoots -2 and is within reach again at -4.
5. Choi and Day drop back behind Westwood.

When I started on the pool, Tiger was even par after 5 or 6 holes. I wasn't sure he would make the cut. I even posted that his confidence is long gone. Then I come in and check the leaderboard and can't believe my eyes. I guess he found some somewhere. 2 of my pics didn't even make the cut (McDowell, Kaymer). I hope Phil catches fire and we have a Phil vs Tiger Sunday.

My outing at "Rock Creek" was un-Masters like. I birdied #1 and #18. All in between was very uneventful. I shot an 89 and missed about 8 putts inside of 6 feet.  :(

I think I probably bogeyed it.  I know my drive was weak, so I had a long 2nd shot.  But it's been a while.  I'd have remembered if I'd birdied it.  ;D

Looks just like it. I hit 3 wood & 3 wood and made it to the very bottom of the green where I 2 putted for par. That was hole #2. Hole #3 was the easiest on the course, a 108 yard par 3. I skulled a pitching wedge into the ditch in front of the green and double bogied. That started a string of double bogies of which it took about 5 holes to stop the bleeding. Back 9 was a little better.
