Thanks for the well wishes, guys. We are back safe and sound, but if I ever have to travel to and from O'Hare again, it will be too soon. What a nightmare! Angry

We had a great time. Mrs 2 has had a rough summer so it was good to see her enjoying herself. You're right, J, I'm still mystified why the gals let us hang around.

We went on the crime tour, which was fascinating. We visited the movie theater where John Dillinger was apprehended, and then the alley right next to the theater, where he bolted to, before being gunned down.

We saw the place where the St Valentine's Day massacre occurred. Unfortunately, there is only a vacant lot there now. The garage was torn down a few years ago. We also saw the church where Hymie Weiss was gunned down. They built steps to cover up the bullet holes, plus, they tore down the building that the flower shop, that Weiss owned, located directly across the street from the church.

I asked the tour guide why the city tore these places down instead of making monuments of them. She told me that the City of Chicago is trying to do away with all the negative connotations associated with Chicago. I told her they still have a long way to go.

We ate at Harry Caray's restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed that experience. We also saw Wrigley Field (pictured below) and ate lunch at "The Houndstooth" (also pictured below). Lots of Bama memorabilia in there. It's located about 4 blocks from Wrigley Field.

But, it's good to be home, even though it's raining steadily. Makes my eyelids heavy. Think I'll take a nap.

Good to hear y'all had a good time, 2.  O'Hare is indeed a dreadful place though.

Thanks HL. Something else I forgot to mention. Chicago was holding the Blue Angels Air Show. They flew directly over our hotel at the beginning of their show. Made me proud to be a Pensacolan!

Good morning, all (including 2 -- assuming he gets out of bed).

Looks like the big news is INJURIES.
1. How bad is Coker's foot injury?
2. When will Drake be 100%?
3. How bad is 'not serious'??

Maybe we'll get rain today.  We've had 3 days of drips, but nothing more.  LF's plants are beginning to wilt.

I was up at 2:00 for a mother nature call, then couldn't go back to sleep. Finally went back to bed about 5:00. I'm all messed up.

Well it has been a fine night and morning. Rained like the sky was falling last night. This morning rained again and the power went off. Sun is shining now so it makes for another fine day. Hope everybody else is doing well today. RTR!
