I see no reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.  Now if the wing falls off, that is a different matter entirely.

I worked with a guy from West Virginia on the Jim Walters Mine projects in the late 1970s. He would skydive for a hobby. All the guys from Alabama gave him a nickname. We all started calling him Fireball!

No such thing as "a perfectly good plane." That's why they paid the pilots twice as much to stay in one as they did me, to jump out.  Cool

I was an AB Ranger. I had 163 jumps and now I walk with a Walker after my back woreout. My knees are weak and I am sort of paying for what i thought serving.
Now please hear me out jumping was great. The freeiest spirit ever felt in the Air, it is so quiet you can hear your heart beat. Nobody there but you and God. Just be careful to learn your PLF correctly so it don't happen to you like me. OH, PLF"Parachute Landing Fall." Let me know what you think after your first one. RTR!
