I had forgotten that was today. I was 8 years old and I remember crying about it when our principal came into our class room and told us.  Cry

Worked third shift at the time.  My then wife woke me up with the news.  I thanked her for ruining my day.  She went on to ruin 8 more years.

Hey, if she ruined your day, what's 8 more years?

I lived in a trailer in a trailer park over in Georgia and had just got home from work when I heard the news. My whole inside gut just crumbled. It was sad. RTR!

Was living in Ft Pierce, Fl at the time. Mrs 2 and I were visiting a friend of hers and we saw the news watching TV. I immediately teared up. Our friend looked at Mrs 2 and asked "Was that his dad or something?" Mrs 2 replied "Might as well have been".
