Aww, this is already over. Fisher is saying his kids couldn't do it. They are so nice. They should attend church but they don't because in the Hood they didn't have church. Man I hate it but this place needs the death penalty till they can get their selves to stop being boneheads. Lord I pray for these people. They need help. I would never send my kid to this place. RTR!

On another forum, they posted pics of the victim's arms, all bruised up.

Jimbo says these are all lies. Must be, because his whole team is full of nothing but people of high character.  :eyeroll:

By Jimbo's definition, I'm putting up all members of CRS for sainthood.

Good to know that Barney Fife Tallahassee PD is on top of everything. I guess they got approval from the AD & Fisher to do their regular in-depth investigation.

Quote
In the news release, the TPD said it received the case on Saturday night and immediately assigned it to its criminal investigation division.

Jimbo has been a real disappointment with respect to how he handles problems IMO.  Sign of desperation I think.

I smell a trap game this week for them.  There's this situation, the Jameis Winston investigations, and a Thursday night away game.  This has the makings of an upset written all over it.  That program seems like it's getting, or has already gotten, out of control.

I wouldn't put it past the ACC Commissioner to order Louisville to throw the game to the Criminoles as insurance to make sure the ACC is represented in the playoffs... unofficially of course...  ;)

I sure hope so.  ESPN talking heads have made some noise about this game, but it's probably to get people to watch.  This might be the toughest game left on FSU's schedule   :eyeroll:

If I ever had any at all, I have lost all respect for Jimbo..and FSU can go to H*ll for all I care...and JW can go with them..I believe this place will crash and burn if not before the season, then soon after...do the FSU administration people have no shame?

cannot imagine this crapstorm going on at any other SEC school..well, maybe the cow college.

FSU Athletics said Williams' playing status is "under review."

"The Athletics Department is aware of an investigation by the Tallahassee Police Department involving football student athlete Karlos Williams," the university said in an emailed statement. "Until we receive more information regarding the alleged incident his status with the team will be under review."

Williams was in full practice pads at the Seminoles' practice Monday afternoon. Head Coach Jimbo Fisher canceled his previously scheduled Monday evening news conference.

Rumors began to swirl last week that Williams was going to be suspended. Fisher quashed those rumors at a Friday news conference.

"No, there's another false report," Fisher said Friday. "It's amazing how things happen out here. Whoever's got sources and whoever's got rumors need to check who they're talking to because that is about as far from the truth as there is."

Update, including mention of an "armed robbery" issue last summer.
Odd for a person of 'high character'.

Odd for a person of 'high character'.
He was a "known associate" of the robber; he and his girlfriend declined to speak with the police, but he apparently was not involved in the crime.

Besides, why are you trashing this guy?  Just listen to Jimbo:

Fisher also said: "It's funny. That guy, who's a tremendous kid, a tremendous ambassador, I don't even know where that [suspension report] would come from. It kind of caught me off guard like 'Whoa.' Karlos has been wonderful."

Partial quote of Jimbo.

Entire quote: "Karlos has been wonderful at getting away with crimes.  Just last summer he helped a friend hide from police after an armed robbery, he had a criminal record starting at the age of 5, but he always lands on his feet.  Wonderful guy at evading police.

So, maybe someone more knowledgeable about these matters can answer me this: Is it an inappropriate benefit for a player to get legal counsel provided by the university or by another private attorney?

I've wondered that myself.  It certainly seems so, at least in cases like this when it has nothing to do with the university itself.

Apparently, after 2 years of unrelenting bad publicity and an investigation by the Feds, FSU has figured things out. No mention of consulting with Jimbo Fisher first or the AD.

Quote
Florida State general counsel Carolyn Egan contacted Tallahassee police about social media posts that accused Seminoles running back Karlos Williams of physically assaulting his pregnant ex-girlfriend, according to emails released by police Thursday.
