There's a Hooters opening in Jakarta soon...directly across the street from my Baptist church.

Actually, they have good food.  Maybe schedule those after-church socials over there!

It is rather odd, although Indonesia is much more relaxed than most Muslim countries.  Not all the Muslim women wear headcoverings. 

This is also a country that has women's only train cars and bus sections because the history of groping. So there is reason to be concerned for the waitresses. 

I'll never go in, but it's going to be interesting to see how it is received by the larger community.

it's been there for YEARS
I've never been in and it does't look like I ever will
I was told it's like a strip club
and been deemed forbidden off limits to all male personnel

I also had a date with a Hooters girl.  She was very sweet and pretty, but recently divorced, and I never called her again.
