So, for me, Alabama has every right to be ranked in the top 10, and probably the top five, I just don't know that I'm ready to consider the Tide the third-best team in the country just yet. I mean, this is a team that could wind up finishing third in the SEC West.

The team that finishes third in the SEC west may actually be the third best team in the country so his argument falls apart  ;)

Seriously though, I understand what he's saying. We have lots of question marks and if they don't work out, it will be a tough season. The flip side is that if they do work out, it will be very hard to beat us and we will finish much higher than third (in both SEC West & Nationally). What we all know and believe in is that we have the best coaching staff in the country and they will not allow our question marks to become a problem. Most other coaches know this too and thats why we are third.  8)

Every team graduates seniors and loses top juniors to the NFL. We are fortunate to have CNS who has recruited better than any staff in the country. We have 4 & 5 star players to step up and fill those voids. I would much rather have this situation as opposed to having the entire team coming back who when 7-5 last year and played in a meaningless bowl.

My concern is the schedule. It is brutal and it goes without saying we will get every team's best effort.

To me that is Bama's biggest problem, every team out there wants to beat Alabama regardless. Injuries and mental preparedness plays a huge role in the success of any Bama team and with a schedule such as this year's, a lot of good luck and player dedication will be needed. Hopefully this will be our year to have the lucky horseshoe in our back pocket.

Yes, very brutal schedule.
7-5. meaningless bowl...funny! sounds like Tenn. I still see more Bama fans up here, but, the Big Orange  are slowly starting to wear their puke orange up here. They claim the bowl gave them great practice time to field a great team this year. I really hope they are undefeated when they play us!Roll Tide!

Ole Miss.

I'm afraid this NCAA business will result in them burning down this season.

 :(

What we need is for a set of recruits to make up their mind they are going to stay full term and see how many games they can win. If we had one group that stayed from Freshman to Senior we might win 3 in a row. All this 1 and 2 and done is killing us. RTR!
