It is going to be a long slow summer sports wise. The most active thread in the Quad is Jimbo Splits From Wife.  So far not much interest in the CWS.
 

I've been watching the CWS off and on. Was disappointed that Arky lost, but glad to see Florida stomp a mud hole in Miami. I hope LSU and Vandy come through today. I think Florida is probably playing the best baseball of any team, right now.

I enjoy watching Florida play baseball. They hit the ball and they hit it hard. It does not matter if it is a ground out to short, line drive into the outfield gap or a HR they hit the ball hard. It is fun to watch. Their softball team is like that too.

I like watching Vandy because of their coach. They are the best fundamental team IMO. Their defense in always in the right position. They bunt in bunt situations. They hit and run. It is just beautiful baseball to watch. If I was a young player I would love to play for Coach Corbin.

I played golf today and because of my ailment, had a slow, smooth swing. Shot an 84. In fact, all 3 of us shot an 84. Our 4th guy was out of town. Anyway, I'm thrilled to have played as well as I did, with a real handicap. I hope everybody else had a great day, too!

And the Stanley Cup is on too; Chicago has a chance to win it all today.

In cycling are the build up races to the Tour De France, which starts July 4 -- the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour De Suisse.

And Nick Saban (unlike Jimbo) manages to stay in the news for positive reasons.

I watched some soccer when the Olympics came to Atlanta.  Still my least favorite sport to watch.
