Good morning, errbody.  Glad to hear that Cauley is doing well.  I got to see very little of the golf yesterday (and what I saw may have been on replay?).  I did see Justin drop a pitching wedge right on top of the flag from 161 yards out.    Shocked Stars

Yeah, Chech was telling me about it. Apparently it went part way down the hole, hit the flag stick, and came out the other side. I didn't get to see it, but it sounded pretty bizarre.

Good morning folks.  I didn't watch any golfball yesterday.  I won't watch any golfball tomorrow either.  Sunday ain't looking good at this point too...  Wink

Tomorrow I am supposed to go to a friend's lake house (on Lake Guntersville) to help him cut down one tree and trim limbs on others.  I am also hoping that we finish early enough that he will take me out bass fishing for a couple or few hours...Stay tuned...

Glad you made it back home safe Chech.

Well I just know it is cloudy and looks like more rain. Last night it rained so hard I thought it was going to knock the paint off the tin. Chechem don't bring up the "S" word now, lol. RTR!

Actually, 2, that shot I told you about was from a trap.  The approach HL described was also when he was hot early in the round.

Today he sucked.  Ended up +2 for the day, and may miss the cut.  He hurt his hand yesterday, and bent his 9 iron, when his follow through hit a tree hard.  After he finished today he said he had numbness in his arm.

Weather coming...

Quote
Strong cold front will be approaching the TN valley on Sunday and will spark showers and thundershowers out ahead of it beginning overnight on Saturday into Sunday.  Rainfall amounts of 1” – 2” look possible, with NWS HSV saying some spots may see 2.5” – 3” before the front pushes through.

There is a slight chance for some strong/marginally severe thunderstorms Sunday afternoon (damaging winds the most likely threat) but think the better severe weather dynamics will stay well south of the TN valley.

Behind the front, cold arctic air filter in with lows in the lower 20s, highs in the lower 40s for the first half of next week.  Might see some light snow flurries Monday as the moisture departs with the front.

He and Trey Mullinax made it right on the cut line to make the weekend. Michael Thompson and Bud Cauley also made it, at even par and -2 respectively. Bama representin'!

TGIS! Hopefully, a good golf day. Will play some true mountain golf today at Cherokee Valley. Last time I played there I shot a 76, so, I'm not expecting much today.

Then we have the rain returning tomorrow, then the cold stuff after that. I'm hoping that's winter's last hurrah.

Good morning folks.  Looks like a beautiful morning here.  I'm heading out in a few to help a friend cut down a dead tree at his lake house and trim some limbs on some other trees.  I'm hoping that we have time to go out on his boat and fish for a while...hopefully.  Have a good round of golfball 2.  Hope everyone else has a great Saturday...

Good morning.  Coffee

Best of luck with the golfballing today, 2.  Don't lose your balls on those steep mountain dropoffs.

Just talked with Red Elephant.  He and I are making a trek to West Virginia next week.  Wish spring were here so it'd be prettier up there, but some things can't wait!  We'll check out the potential recruits among the mountain people.

COLD is coming back tomorrow.  The snow line has moved north of us it seems, but the rain and cold will be here.  Ugh.

You ain't kidding. Today is our only break, but it's still cloudy as heck. Sunshine is a rarity in these parts.

Good morning.  Coffee

RAIN here.  And tonight it'll drop to 22 degrees.   Sad

I spent yesterday with a friend installing a new sink and plumbing it.  We made a trip to Lowe's, then back to his country cabin for the work.  It took until dark.  Fortunately he was able to get down underneath the cabinets and make all of the connections.  Had I tried, I'd prolly still be down there.

The women are still beating everybody in softball: 20-0.  Wow.

I saw that JT shot a -3 yesterday.  How was golfball for you, 2??

My golf game sucked out loud yesterday, Chech. Shot a 92, but there were extenuating circumstances that's too lengthy to post here. The only interesting thing about the round is, I played a few holes with a black guy who used to be the Clemson football team chaplain under Bowden and then Dabo for a few years. We got to talking and I mentioned to him that I grew up behind the governor's mansion in Montgomery, and was friends with George Wallace Jr. He told me his wife grew up being friends with the MLK Jr family.
