The Back Nine comes at you after my 35th Florida-Georgia game (UF is 18-17 in those games),

10. Later this week, I’m going to explore the reasons for Florida’s 2011 demise, but I will tell you that on the surface the blame has to go to the offense.

You can’t win if you don’t score. Florida is 97th in the country in offense and 10th in SEC games in third-down conversions at 26 percent. Look at Saturday as a perfect example of Florida’s inability to get into the end zone. The Gators either took over the ball or drove to Georgia’s 21, 20, 13, 18, 49, 23, 37 and 36 and scored 13 offensive points. That’s how you lose a football game.

And that’s how your season implodes.

11. Right after the game was over, an unidentified Georgia coach was whooping his way from the coaches box to the elevator. He shouted out from behind the press rows, “Let’s hear you say next week how we haven’t played anybody.” Uh, coach, you did the first two weeks and lost. The last six games have been against Coastal Carolina and five teams with a combined SEC record of 4-22. I’m not taking anything away from Georgia’s win Saturday. They needed it and Mark Richt needed it. But it’s not like they beat a great team.

I hate it but I'm not sure Georgia can even beat the boogers.
