I really was concerned, not only because of their 0-4 start, but also because of their anemic performance in spring training. I hope they prove me wrong all year.

Me too.  It's been a few years since they were competitive, and it'll be a long summer (awaiting fb) if they don't play well.

It seems the injury bug never leaves this team. If they can get Hanson back to his old self and get Hudson back as well, this should help them a lot. I think the Braves first six batters in their lineup can be as good as any teams, but last year when one of them got in a slump, all of them did the same.

It's a long season but maybe this will be the year that their luck is a little better.

The Braves hitting has been impressive but I don't think they will continue scoring 10 runs a game. It's good to see the lead-off hitter (Bourn) starting to hit and if he continues stealing bases, he will be a huge asset and make scoring a routine affair. Plus, Uggla, Prado, Freeman, & Francisco have all started hitting. The pitching has looked good, even though Tim Hudson has not even pitched. If the hitting can be solid to go with this pitching, the Braves could win 95-100 games.

BTW, final score: 10-2 last night.

I'd settle for 9 runs per game.  Smiley

If the Braves average 5 runs a game I would be deliriously happy.

Hey they are playing lights out now. Pitching is somewhat better and errors have dissipated. I hope they don't have the sudden crash this year. RTR!

See, I told you they would not keep scoring 10 runs a game.

Uggla killed the Braves early on last year with his slow start. Even though he is not hitting for high average right now, he is much more productive than this time last year. Heyward is healthy and Freeman is ripping it. The bats, at least right now are alive and pitching is as good as expected. Barring injuries, this may be a better year than I thought.

Braves have definitely heated up coming into LA to play my beloved Boys in Blue.  We're coming off a 10-0 drumming at the hands of the lowly Astros yesterday.

To further reaffirm my belief that the Braves are the luckiest sports franchise of all-time, you all, of course, miss our ace (reigning Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw) and our #2.

You won't need them. The Braves stink up Chavez Ravine annually, regardless.

The game last night surprised me.  I promise to still be e-friends with you all even if the Bravos come back and take the series.
