Title: Alabama's defense doesn't stand for any drama
Post by: pmull on September 25, 2011, 08:13:13 AM
For the fourth time in four games, Alabama scored all the points it needed in the first half Saturday. The Crimson Tide and Arkansas could still be playing at this minute and the Razorbacks still wouldn't have matched the 38 points Alabama scored.

"It was a great team win," said coach Nick Saban, who dutifully pointed out areas in which his team can improve but didn't try to suppress his satisfaction with Saturday's performance.

The Crimson Tide has been so dominant that after beating No. 14 Arkansas 38-14, it saw its scoring average go down and its points allowed per game go up. And the defense stifled the Razorbacks without any special tricks.

"We only really blitzed one time today and that's when they hit us for their second touchdown," Saban said.
