:D Title: Re: Vandy at Alabama in Basketball Now-Saturday Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 23, 2019, 05:49:26 PM Ingram playing like man possessed. He has 10 points, Lewis 8, Mack 6, & Norris 6. I have not seen this kind of energy, rebounding, and overall hustle from Tide in a long time. 35-18 Tide, still in first half. Tide 6/14 3 pointers and 48% FG shooting.

:-X Title: Re: Vandy at Alabama in Basketball Now-Saturday Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 23, 2019, 05:59:34 PM This may sound crazy, if we win 3 of 4 of the last 4 regular season games, and win 1 in SEC Tourney, I think we make the Big Dance.

Title: Re: Vandy at Alabama in Basketball Now-Saturday Post by: hscoach on February 24, 2019, 04:16:26 PM I just got to watch the game and Bama did play with more energy. What I noticed most was the shortened bench used by AJ, no AJJ, Reese, or Smith. Norris got more playing time than Mack. The starting lineup was different also. I know Petty didn't score, but he contributed with 3 assist and 6 rebounds, 5 of which were defensive. He also didn't take bad shots, he just didn't make any. A couple of turnover, which I don't know who got credit for them, were on passes that weren't handled by the other player. That being said they were leading by 20 with 9:28 to play and they only shot 57% from the free throw line. When Vandy was making their run, Bama missed some good opportunities to score, but just didn't convert.

We play so many people some games they never get in a rhythm. Last night we only used 8 players. I have wondered why Giddens is playing over Smith. To my knowledge Smith has not played since he suffered a concussion several weeks ago. He was dressed last night but did not play. He is a much better player than Giddens IMO, especially on the offensive end. Looking at the average pts per game, not a whole lot of difference. He has to be developed much more. :dog: Title: Re: Vandy at Alabama in Basketball Now-Saturday Post by: Hannibal Lecter, MD on February 25, 2019, 07:50:04 AM I believe Smith and Reese are hurt.
