Good morning. 

It was just a brief shower yesterday, maybe 30 minutes, but rain is rain.  Any rain helps.  It was still dry beneath the trees.

But today brings a chance of real rain, perhaps a downpour; maybe a thunderstorm; maybe measurable rain in the gauge.  Maybe.  At least we have a chance.  Yesterday was the first rain since August 1st.

BIG game this week.  Tennessee seems to have muzzled its players thus far to keep them from spewing bulletin-board material.  I have a feeling that one of those trash-talking knuckleheads will spout forth today.

Stayed up and watched HL's Dodgers beat the Nats to advance to the NLCS against the Cubs. Good game!

Still no rain here. We need some pretty badly too. We haven't gone without as long as you, but it's starting to get pretty serious. Here's praying that everyone gets rain soon. Also, that Preacher gets a good report on his cat scan.

Good morning from Lynchburg, VA.  The weather has been terrific so far while we have been traveling.  We have taken the kids to the plantation where Booker T. Washington was born, the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA, Popular Forest, Red Hill which was one of  Patrick Henry's plantations and Appomattox.  That is all of the historical places we planned. The rest of the weekend will be spent with friends...

It was cold here again this morning my wife said where they termites eat through the wall of the house that we have some natural a/c. Trouble is we have it all day but all night too. I woke up this morning and it was colder inside the house than out side so I went outside to warm to warm up. Hey I noticed the too, the Tenn players have been awful quiet this year. Maybe they are going to come in this game hoping for a sleepers chance of knocking us off. I remember when David Palmer was playing and they slipped up on us it was a sad day even with a tie. RTR!

Just got back in; soaked to the bones.   
We've had almost an inch today - FINALLY.  Hopefully it'll stay together and drift over toward Birmingham, and stretch down to Pensacola.

I just checked the 10 day forecast. The best chance we have is 20% on a couple of days.
